Members at the head table, Distinguished members of the Nomination Committee, Past Presidents, and fellow members,

First, I’d like to say that I am honoured, and indeed feel privileged, at being able to serve the Sri Lanka Association of Printers and it’s membership for another year as President, and am thankful to the membership for placing their trust in me.

On my part, I will certainly continue to give my best efforts during the year ahead, together with my competent Executive Committee, in continuing the programme of work we set out to do.

Together with my team, I will also take on new tasks and responsibilities, with the ultimate objective of taking the Printing Industry in Sri Lanka to the global recognition it richly deserves
.
This can only be achieved through the unstinted support and co-operation, of not only the Executive Committee, but also the entire membership, and I look forward to your involvement in all activities that we plan for you, be it educational, social or informative.

I invite you the members to actively subscribe to the training programmes that we will facilitate, which will certainly be of benefit to your employees, and also at the same time encourage the committee that spends a considerable amount of time planning these programmes.

The prime focus of the Executive Committee during the year ahead will of course be towards the building project, plans of which are already in motion. In the period ahead, we will keep you informed of our plans, so that you too, can be partners in this noble venture.

As always, the Association and the Executive Committee is receptive to the needs and views of it’s esteemed membership, and I invite your constructive suggestions at all times.

The Annual General Meeting will conclude in a few minutes, but the Committee that has been elected today will now buckle down to a year ahead of hard work, a year during which the main objectives as stated by me will be given due, and full attention.
